How does SampleSource work?

SampleSource allows you to try products with free samples, so you can make smart shopping decisions. It is as easy as registering, filling out a profile, and picking samples you would like to try whenever we have any available. We even ship them right to your home. And the best part? It is 100% free!

What types of samples do you have?

We have all kinds of samples! Makeup, beauty care products, household cleaning products, health products, food products, and sometimes other great offers.

When are samples usually available?

We usually have samples in the Spring, Summer, and Fall (we do not send samples in the Winter because they may freeze in the mail). When samples are available, if you are a member and we have samples that match your profile, we will automatically email you to let you know! Remember that samples are only available while supplies last.

How often can I request samples?

You can only request samples ONCE per offer period and one package per household. Duplicate orders will be removed so please be courteous to your fellow members. Thanks!

How many samples are available?

Quantities are limited, and first ordered and confirmed. The faster you sign up, the better the chance you have of trying them!

Do I need to pay to get the free samples?

Nothing at all! The samples are provided free of charge. All you have to do is sign up, request the samples you would like to try, and we will pack them up and send them to you, absolutely free.

Do I have to fill out a profile?

This helps us understand who you are, what you like, and your shopping habits, so we can find products that we think you may want to try. We keep this information on file so when new samples come available we can notify you. Most of the information you will only need to answer once.

Is the SampleSource facility allergen free?

No. Just like a grocery-store distribution center, our facility has products from various manufacturers and brands. Some of these samples may contain allergens, like nuts, milk, eggs or fish. If you are allergic to such items, please ensure you are comfortable requesting samples from us as we cannot guarantee that the items you have requested have not come in contact with a sample that ingredients someone in your household might be allergic to.

Why do you ask what products I use?

We like to understand what products people would like to try, what the latest trends are, and what you are currently using. This helps us understand what products should be featured, what products should not be featured, and what is important to our users!

How do the samples get sent to me?

In the mail! We use specially designed boxes that protect your samples and ensure they arrive in your mail slot (apartment, house, condo, or superbox).

How fast will my order arrive?

From the day you place your order, it can take between 4-6 weeks for your package to arrive. We will update your status once your package has shipped. Once it has shipped, It can take 5 to 10 business days for your package to arrive by regular mail. To see the status of your SampleSource kit, click here.

I waited the 4-6 weeks - nothing arrived.

Sorry about that! Although it is very rare, sometimes packages can get lost in the mail, or mis-delivered. We apologize, and hope that you will request again when we have more samples available!

Why was I not offered any samples?

That is because we either did not have any samples which matched your profile answers, or we did not have any stock left at the time of your registration. But the good news is we have more samples coming in all the time and we will notify you when we have ones you may be interested in.

Why do some people get more samples?

This is based on a number of factors, including many of the profile questions you answer as well as who our brands would like to offer their samples to. But the good news is we have more samples coming in all the time and we will notify you when we have ones you may be interested in.
